When taking the shortcut through Stakesby Vale towards the town, you will find Beevers Furniture Store just before you approach the Cinder Track Bridge.

If you walk up the side of it, you are on the cinder track, which is a beautiful space, made up of the old railway lines. From here, you can walk, or cycle as far as Scarborough, or even further.

A firm favourite for cyclists is the journey to Robin Hoods Bay, 7 miles.

Also, it leads to the Larpool Viaduct, where they hold Bungee Jumping activities on some Saturdays.
